It's Just a Bunch of Garbage

One man's trash is another man's garbage

I’ll admit it; Sometimes I forget to put the trash by the road. This is a problem since our trash only runs once a week. So, if I have a full trash can and forget to put it out then guess what? All the trash I make for the next week has nowhere to go. But it’s not all bad. When you run out of space to put your garbage it really makes you think about trash. I’ve always felt weird throwing some stuff away. Like jars. You use up the pasta sauce or whatever, then what? Toss it into a hole for the rest of time? It’s still a jar. You can put, like, marbles or something in it.

So, I’ll wash out the jar and put it in the cabinet. Next thing you know you’ve got a pretty decent jar collection going. When the trash can is full, I start thinking of other things I can save. Then I start to understand how hoarding can happen. Oscar the Grouch loves trash. But his house (trash can) is still pretty clean. He’s probably in the minority though.

Long story short, if Tuesday is your trash day, don’t forget to put your trash out.

Grocery Chat

Hey, let me ask you this question! When you go to the grocery store do you tend to get the name brand stuff? Or do you get the store brand? If so, is there anything that you absolutely have to have a certain kind? My dear old Daddy Sock was a penny pinchin son of a gun, but even he would shell out the extra coins for certain things. Like cereal (Cocoa Pebble's) and ice cream (Blue Bell). Me, I’m not very picky so I usually get whatever is cheaper. BUT I do like a good bread. One of them fancy Whole Wheat With The Seeds And Whatnot kinda breads. Trouble is I don’t eat a whole loaf in time and then it goes bad. Then I have to put it in the garbage, and I weep.

I’ll be streaming tonight on Twitch, as I so often do on Tuesdays. Hopefully you can join and hang out for a bit.
