How’s it going, friend!? It’s your old pal Sock Cop here. Just reminding you I’ll be live on the Twitch gimmick tonight at the usual time (7pm Central Sock Clock Time) doing the things.
There will be an animal of the day.
There will be a VHS of the day, along with a spirited game of “Is It Rewound?!”.
We will race ducks.
And most importantly, I’ll chat with you! Or AT you, depending on if you talk back or not. Either way is fine with me.
Chips: A True Story
We have a vending machine here at the station. I don’t use it much, but sometimes there will be an interesting bag of chips inside. Last week I noticed these spicy dill pickle kettle chips and figured I’d give them a try. I put in $1.50 and pushed the button. The machine beeped angrily at me and said try another selection. I pushed the buttons, and once again the machine refused to sell me the dadgum chips.
I was really only mildly interested in trying the spicy dill pickle kettle chips.
But now that the machine won’t give them to me and I can’t have them?
Now I need them.
The next day I tried one more time.
DENIED!
CUT TO: Today.
I notice the fella is there restocking the machine. I says to the guy that I’ve been trying to buy that bag of chips, but it won’t let me. He said thanks for letting him know, he’d get the fixer-guy to fix it. Then he handed me a bag of the chips for free!
Sometimes life works out okay and you get some free chips. Pretty cool!
I haven’t tried them yet. I’m saving them for an afternoon snack.
